College and Career Readiness
In addition to taking AP courses, upperclassmen have the option of earning college credit through either on-site or online enrollment in college classes. Harrisburg Area Community College, Lancaster Bible College and Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences provide local dual enrollment options. Interested students and families can talk directly with school leaders about programming for these courses. Additional fees are required.
Work-based Learning Program
We believe preparing students with valuable career opportunities is a key part of our work. EMS students have the opportunity, in their Junior and Senior years, to be involved in our Work Study Program. In this program, students can accumulate credit as an intern with local businesses and industries. These opportunities help students seamlessly bridge from High School to the work force. Whether or not students are in the College Prep or Career track is a decision that is made with the student and the student’s parents.
