Academics

One of our core values is Academic Excellence. To that end, we are fully accredited through the Middle States Association accrediting agency. Our K-12 academic program of nationally recognized curricula includes programs such as Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), Saxon Math, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses for our upper level students. AP courses allow many of our students to obtain college credit while in high school. All of our students, 2nd through 12th grade, receive a foreign language, Spanish, every year.

Because effective instruction is paramount for student learning,  we have adopted the research-based Danielson Framework for Instruction as the lens for evaluating and developing our teaching practice. Our highly qualified, effective teachers willingly take on the primary responsibility for student learning.

Our students receive individualized support to meet their specific needs. We use proven assessments to ensure that all students are learning and to identify learning gaps. We have an effective learning support team that carefully develops individual learning plans for each student that needs additional help. We use the Barton Reading support program to ensure that all students learn to read well.
