Board Committee Responsibilities: Board Chairman; Chairman of the Roadside Cleanup Committee

Church Involvement: Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship--Mission Board Chairman, Small Group Leader, Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher

Family: Married to Sheila and we have 6 children.

Life Verse: Joshua 24:15b "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Reason for Serving on the Board: My own positive experience in Christian Education led me to send my own children to a Christian school.

Jay Weaver

Board Committee Responsibilities: Chairman of the Transportation Committee

Church Involvement: Word Of Life Mennonite Fellowship, Youth Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Secretary, Youth Leader

Community Involvement: Volunteer for 10 days twice a year at an orphanage in Haiti

Family: Married to Barb and we have 3 children.

Life Verse: 1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."

Reason for Serving on the Board: I have a deep passion for Christian education and want my children taught with a sound Christian Doctrine.

Josh Martin

Church Involvement: Word Of Life Mennonite Fellowship, Sunday School Superintendent

Family: My wife Kelly and I have 4 children.

Scott Martin

Board Committee Responsibilities: Chairman of the Roadside Cleanup Committee, Fundraising Committee

Church Involvement: Oasis Mennonite Fellowship--I serve on the Nomination Committee, teach Youth Guys Sunday School, and am Chairman of the Mission Committee

Family: I have been married to Yvonne for the past 18 years and we have been blessed with 4 sons.

Life Verse: Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Reason for Serving on the Board: I am grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of leading a school that strives to live out and instill in the lives of each child what it means to be a Christian that focuses on building the kingdom of Heaven right now and that educates our children through the lenses of a Christ follower.

Ryan Bowman

Church Involvement: Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship

Family: Wife, Gina; 4 children--3 are enrolled at EMS

Life Verse: Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Reason for Serving on the Board: I want my children to have a solid foundation for their life, being on the board allows to to take an active role in making that happen.

Dale Zimmerman

Family: My wife--Lindsey, 4 sons

Joel Stoner

Church Involvement: White Oak Church--I serve as a Sunday School teacher and Chairman of the Missions Board

Family: I have been married to Christi for 18 years. We have 7 children, ages 15 to 2 years old.

Life Verse: Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Reason for Serving on the Board: I serve on the Board because I see how Ephrata Mennonite has influenced my children in a positive way and I want to be a part of that.

Church Involvement: Word of Life Mennonite Fellowship; serve as deacon and as a youth advisor to our church youth group.

Family: Married to Marilyn and we have 5 children.

Life Verse: Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Reason for Serving on the Board: I believe in the benefits of Christian education and that parents should be involved in their children's life and education.

Andrew Rutt

Church Involvement: Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship

Family: Married to Karla for 15 years. We have four children: Kailey, Owen, Mariah, and Carter.

Life Verse: 1 Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,

Reason for Serving on the Board: One day this generation of K-12 graders will be employees, mothers, pastors, lay members, missionaries, businessmen, influences, and everything in between, and the world needs Kingdom minded men and women filling these roles, so I'm happy to be a small part of raising up this next generation for Christ and His Kingdom.

Phil Groff

Church Involvement: Lead Pastor at Cambridge Mennonite Church

Family: Wife, Sharon--2 married children, 2 children enrolled at EMS

Life Verse: Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Reason for Serving on the Board: I am serving as a Pastoral Advisor because I value Christian education. Christian serves a important role in guiding children and youth on their "race" through life. I enjoy the opportunity to use my gifts as part of a team that supports the faculty and the purposes of Ephrata Mennonite School.
