Reason for Teaching: As I was growing up, I saw my mom pour her life into children around her, whether they were her own children, those who stayed with us while they were waiting to find a forever home, or her students. I saw what happened in their lives as she prayed for them and showed them the love of Christ. I saw them grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I saw children who, supposedly, would never read learn to do so, because she never gave up on them. I teach because I want to show Christ's love to my students in that way. I want them to know that they are loved, and that they are an important part of God's Kingdom. I want to be a teacher who never gives up on her students, just like Christ never gave up on me.

In times of trial when I was a child, my teachers were some of the main individuals who encouraged me to keep going and persevere through the difficulty. Family: I am married to Jeff Martin and we have two children, Bridget and Gavin.

Reason for Teaching: I enjoy being with kids and thought bus driving would be a good fit for me and my family at this stage of life.
