Reason for Teaching: As an elementary student I was never the athlete. I was the child picking flowers in the outfield. When I entered into middle school I soon discovered that hard work and dedication were equally valued. As a junior and senior I came early to school to practice and loved to compete. None of it came naturally so I learned to love figuring it out. I find that I love to teach these things because it was so challenging to learn them. I value when I see kids trying their hardest and getting up to try again after falling many times. Entering into God's calling, by giving students the tools that they need to be successful socially and athletically, brings me joy and inspiration.

Reason for Teaching: It has always been a desire of mine to work with children. I have enjoyed it in different capacities over the years. As a very young elementary student, I had some struggles. Reading did not come easily for me, which I believe my kindergarten teacher saw. As an adult now, I see what a gift I was given! I want to be a source of encouragement, to cultivate relationships, and to point and guide hearts toward our Savior. It is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to serve in this way!

Life Verse: 1 Peter 1:5-11 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time[a] the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories.
Reason for Teaching: After coming through 10th-12th grade at Ephrata Mennonite School I was greatly impacted by it. Through my classmates and teachers, I learned a lot, I grew in understanding and was greatly blessed. And after been asked if I had been interested in helping out at Ephrata Mennonite School, I thought how I could impact others the same way school has impacted me.
