Scholarships

We realize that not all families can afford the regular tuition. We are, however, committed to making EMS possible for any family who is willing to make a reasonable sacrifice. Therefore we offer need-based scholarships to our families. Approximately 40% of EMS families receive scholarships. We award over $600,000 worth of scholarships per year. Most of these scholarships come through the Education Income Tax Credit program (EITC).

We use Simple Tuition Systems to provide a thorough way of assessing the financial need. Because it is needs based, financial transparency is required. We also ask each applying family to carefully consider what what they could afford to pay and specify that amount on the application. In the majority of the cases, where the financial information supports the legitimacy of this self reported number, we provide scholarships to meet that amount. As multiple students from one qualifying family enter EMS, the scholarship amounts typically increase significantly. They are typically a little less for families who have only one child enrolled. This allows families to send all their children to EMS even while working “regular” jobs as employees at local companies.

Scholarship applications are completed online at app.simpletuitionsolutions.org. A $32.50 processing fee (as of 2025) is paid directly to Simple Tuition Solutions.
